Programme Details

The four-year full-time degree programme offered by SSLA, takes forward the ethos of NEP 2020, which helps students learn to make critical connections among diverse subjects, modes of thinking, and view major decisions within a broader social and historical perspective. It allows faculty and students to engage with, understand and reconcile a wide range of ideas, viewpoints, and perspectives within several disciplines. It seeks to provide a cultural orientation to the world in which we live, and equip students with ideas, analytical and communication skills, global perspectives, as well as the ability to synthesize knowledge and make informed value judgments.

The programme offers a comprehensive education. Courses at SSLA are broadly categorized into Core (Foundational and Skill Enhancement courses), Majors (where 10 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation along with a mandatory Internship), Minors (where 6 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation), and Electives that are inter-trans-multidisciplinary in nature.

Focus on research together with the requisite components of internship and community engagement, enables students to prepare for higher studies, career advancement, and for the exercise of leadership in the corporate world and the communities we live in. It also helps students develop essential 21st-century skills that allow them to seamlessly enter the workforce and gain meaningful career and life choices.
