SET Admissions Process

The SSLA UG Admissions follow two entry pathways - the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and the Non-SET Rolling Admissions Process (RAP). Candidates have the choice to opt for either of the above processes to seek admission to SSLA.

  • Both the processes follow independent timelines.
  • Seats for each of the processes are earmarked separately and evenly divided.
  • RAP will commence in September and close in December.
  • SET will commence in December and close in April.
  • The eligibility criteria mentioned is applicable to both SET and RAP.

Online Registration Process

From 2018 onwards, “SET General” is known as Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).

  • For a valid and complete registration, candidates must register independently for both:
    • Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)
    • Institution / Programme of their choice
  • In the absence of Programme / Institution registration, the SET registration will be INVALID.
  • Please note: No refund of the SET registration fee will be provided if the candidate misses the Programme / Institute registration.

SET 2026 will be conducted on two different dates. Please note these dates carefully:

Date of SET 2026 and Time
May 02, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday) 09.00 am – 10.00 am
Important Note

A candidate can appear for two tests for SET 2026. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers.

The normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure the normalisation of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalised for the level of difficulty across all two tests. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

The registration process is as follows:

  • Click on ‘Register’.
  • Read all the ‘Instructions’ carefully and click on ‘Continue’ to accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’.

  • Payment of only the SET entrance test registration fee will not make a candidate eligible for shortlisting or merit listing in any programme.
  • Both fees must be paid as per the instructions on the registration portal. Failure to pay the programme registration fee will result in the application not being considered for that programme. No communication will be entertained in this regard.
