Life after Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) is defined less by a single career trajectory and more by a mindset shaped during the undergraduate years. The degree prepares graduates for a wide spectrum of academic and professional careers. Rather than training students for a single profession, SSLA emphasises intellectual breadth and depth, enabling graduates to move across sectors and roles. The Cores and Electives enable wider and interdisciplinary thinking and Majors and Minors offer core domain knowledge.

Our graduates step into the world with the ability to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and navigate complexity, skills that remain valuable across professions and life stages. The liberal arts education encourages students to connect ideas across disciplines, making them adaptable in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Internships, fieldwork, and experiential learning at SSLA prepare students to transition confidently into the professional world while remaining intellectually curious and socially responsible. In the academic domain, many SSLA graduates pursue higher education in India or abroad. Common pathways include postgraduate degrees and PhD programmes in varied disciplines. The rigorous training at SSLA equips students for master’s programmes in interdisciplinary fields. This enables the students to pursue careers in fields such as policy research, instructional design, education consulting and management, media and communication, corporate and business sectors, entrepreneurship, social sector in addition to the conventional career pathways.

Our students who choose to follow an academic trajectory are pursuing Masters programmes that are both discipline specific and interdisciplinary in nature.
